11/6: Family Fitness and Health Fair, Fort Knox

Hey Betties!

Bring the family out to Fort Knox MWR Family Fitness and Health Fair at the Natcher Physical Fitness Center this Saturday, November 6 from 11am - 2pm. Events will include health screenings, healthy cooking demonstrations and inflatables! Come out for a chance to win a Wii & WiiFIT!!

11/6: Home Depot Kids Workshop

Hey Builder Betties!!

Grab the kids and held to Home Depot this weekend for the Kids Workshop, held on the first Saturday of each month. The kids can build a spice rack (not a bad Christmas gift idea, huh?) this Saturday (11/6) from 9am - noon. So load up the swagger wagon and get in the know here.



November Holiday Bazaars

Hey Betties!!

With Halloween behind us, it's time for the next round of holiday fun....Holiday Bazaars!! That's right...the month of November is all about Holiday Bazaars. And boy, do you have tons to choose from. So if you're busy this weekend, no worries....you've got several weekends to get out there to get your holiday crafts, gifts and homemade goodies!! Check out this weekend's list below:

11/5-11/6 Weekend:
Country Critter Homemakers Holiday Bazaar at Rough Creek Baptist Church, Howevalley Rd., on Friday (11/5) from 9am - 5pm and Saturday (11/6) from 10am - 4pm. Homemade food, crafts, jewelry, Avon, purses, cookbooks and tools. Lunch of chili, soups and sandwiches for donations.

Fort Knox Spouses & Community Club's 2010 Holiday Bazaar at Sadowski Field House, Fort Knox on Friday (11/5) from 10am - 7:30pm and Saturday (11/6) from 10am - 6 pm. Pictures with Santa; Arts, Crafts, Antiques & More. Open to the Public. Children: Free. Adults Receive 3 chances to win fabulous door prizes with $1 donation.

Radcliff Christian Church Annual Holiday Bazaar on Saturday (11/6) from 8am - 2pm. Crafts, holiday items, baked goods.

Radcliff United Methodist Church Christmas Bazaar on Saturday (11/6) from 8am - 1pm. Craft items to include decorations, needlework, wood items, children's crafts, etc.

11/1: Chick-Fil-A Family Night

Hey Betties!

Still coming down from that sugar high of last night? Don't feel like cooking tonight? Well, just load up the swagger wagon and head to Chick-Fil-A of Elizabethtown, KY for Family Night tonight from 5:30-7:30pm. They offer $.99 chicken strip kids meals on the first Monday of each month. Eat more chicken!

Today (Saturday, Oct. 16) is another great day to head to Hinton's Orchard and Farm Market in Hodgenville, KY for a day of pumpkin pickin' and paintin', corn mazing, hayriding and tons of fall fun. This weekend they will build a Fireboat on Saturday, Oct. 2. FREE hands-on sessions are offered the first Saturday of each month from 9am - noon. Get in the know here.

10/2-10/3: Aussie Fest at KY Down Under

G'day Betties!

Load up the swagger wagon, pack some snacks and head down to Cave Country for the Aussie Fest at Kentucky Down Under this weekend, Oct. 2-3. Load up the swagger wagon and stay local this weekend at the Rineyville Homecoming Days. Start the weekend off right at the Rineyville Community Park on Oct. 1 from 6:30-9pm with free entertainment, free chili and hot dogs. Forget cooking on Saturday morning and enjoy a pancake breakfast at the Rineyville Elementary School from 7-9am. Meade County Public Library - Story Hour is Monday & Tuesday from 10:30-11:30am. and Tuesday at 6pm. Don't miss Totally Nonstop Todllertime on Tuesday from 9:30-10am.

Barr Library, Fort Knox (military access required) - Story Hour is Tuesday from 10-11am.

Barnes & Noble - Story Time is Wednesday from 11am - noon.

Hardin County Public Library - Toddler Time is Thursday from 11am - noon.

Nelson County Public Library - Toddlers are on Friday, 10-10:30am; Preschoolers (3-5 yrs) are on Tuesdays 6:00-6:45 pm, Wednesday 10:30-11:15 am and Thursday 1:30-2:15 pm.

9/25 - Speed Art Museum Meets the Zoo

Art and zoo animals under one roof? I'm thinking smiles all around and fun for the whole family!

The Speed Art Museum in Louisville, KY is hosting "Pursuing the Masters Family Day" on Saturday, Sept. 25 from 11am - 3pm.  Paint and drape fabric on the Speed’s front lawn with artist Bart Galloway, sculpt sugar and see a painted menagerie come to life with live animals from the Louisville Zoo.
